Default Panasonic GH1/Camera Convergence

On another thread in this forum, I expressed my doubts about the Panasonic GH1's $1500 price point (with 14-140mm lens). This review of the GH1 by the Luminous Landscape puts the GH1 into perspective in terms of technical convergence. It's not a typical review - in fact it refers one to an earlier review of the G1 when it comes to still images. This piece focuses mainly on the GH1's video abilities. I was shocked to learn the camera is being used to shoot an independent feature film. No jive. Read and enjoy... and don't forget to explore the video clips the author puts up and the many links to related subjects - including a Web blog put up by the makers of the indy film being shot on the GH1:
