You can buy Bill Turner (Bootstrap)'s L1:

But as much as I like that camera, if you have to choose I do think you'd be better off with an E-30.

Which 4/3 to micro adapter are you using on your GH2?

It is much easier to get a micro 4/3 body than a normal 4/3 body. Olympus Canada has moved to the US. The E5 is only available on a special order.. Camera stores in Canada are not stocking any Olympus DSLR.

I shall looking into the G series for my replacement body.

Thank you very much for your information!

Hi Ted,
After my friend updated the firmware on E500, the result is still the same. Not working with my lens.
I will try it with the new G3 or give up and switch to another system like Nikon. But I will keep the L1.

That's really odd - it works on an E500 for lots of folks including me.

Hi Ted,
For your information, I got myself a Nikon D5100 with the kit lens and a SB600 flash gun to replace my L1.

I am planning to sell my L1 with the kit lens, Metz 58AF1 flash and Olympus 40-150MM F4-5.6 lens.

I'm not sure what the problem is but just FYI...14-50mm is not a prime lens. By definition, a prime lens has fixed FL (i.e. 28mm, 50mm, etc.). 14-50mm is a zoom lens. Perhaps you meant vintage or MF?!?

That would be very nice to know a few years back when I had my E510 with many Zuiko 4/3 lenses. Today I standardized on m4/3 and I'm not turning back. The small, light weight and excellent (although expensive) m4/3 lenses do everything I want plus some. I have a collection of old glass that will be sold because I can not be bothered using them. Who needs a 50mm f1.7 MF prime when there is the Zuiko 45mm f1.8 or the very small 20mm f1.7? Sure m4/3 does not offer (yet) any very fast lens (f1.2). But, it will be just a matter of time before those become available as well.

Hi Tullio,
The only 3/4 body available in Canada is the E5 (Special order) retail for 1500.00 Cad. I am a retiree and can not justify for the investment.
I am very happy shooting with the Nikon D5100 now. it is very good in low light.
