I've been wondering why Pana did not release some sample L1 images (various ISO settings) at the same time as the big announcement. I know that at somepoint the offical lumix website will have some but I think they would have done themselves a real favour if they had done so.

Cheers

Interesting point... I don't know if it really means anything, but you would think they would do that.

I agree with the lack of images comment; particularly when the name of the game is image quality.

I have an idle thought or two here. If Panasonic hears the disagreement from othersin terms of the pricing of the L1, I was just wondering if they may have an alternative solution to the price by, in the near future, saying they have decided to offer a cheaper lens, say a 50mm with the L1 or maybe justthe body. Of course that 50mm will already have been coveredwith the 14-50 but they may just do something like this if the camera doesn't sell well initially. And since thefour thirds system offers the interchangeabilityin lenses from different manufacturers then this may well be an attractive alternative to the $2,000 dollar price tag. After all the spokesmen did say something to the effect they will have to wait and see how this plays out.
