gee, thanks everyone! i really appreciate all the kind words!

i owe a lot of credit to the people i've met on these forums -here on the Panasonic board especially - who passed on hints and tips on digital photography, offered advice and encouragement, showed me by example what good photography is, and generally helped me develop and make the most of whatevertalent i have.

i confess, it's pretty thrilling to see my photo published in a magazine as prestigious as the National Geographic. i never dreamed when i took that photo that it would wind up in one of the premiere photo publications in the world, even as a small print on a "reader photos" page. for a photo i took purely on a whim to see if i could get a decent image, it certainly has gotten a lot of attention!

anyway, thanks again to all of you... and especially Willow, for thinking of me and starting this thread in the first place! i do appreciate it!

Rocky

PS - if anyone cares, the photo is registered with the US copyright office under the title "Refraction".... :G
