I am curious....I note that the 6T sells at a higher price than the 5T but the gap is not just marginal. Is the 5T a good lens?

Beth, the 5T is the same in terms of quality, but it's half the "strength". they're the same size threads, etc., the 6T is a 2.9 diopter lens, while the 5T is 1.5.

Annie, yes, the Nikon 5T and 6T are both close-up lenses that do the same thing as the DCR150 and DCR 250. they both use 62mm mounting threads, which means if you have an FZ5/7 or an FZ30, you'll need a 55-62mm step-up ring to use them. Nikon also makes a 3T and 4T, which are the same diopter ratings as the 5T and 6T respectively, but the 3T/4T both use 52mm mounting threads. those would require a 55-52mm step-down ring to fit.

correct. but as Seedub said, better to step up than down, as that reduces the chances of vignetting.
