Hi! I just want to know if the Lumix fz7 has the hability to edit storedmovies and remove parts from the begining and the end of a footage like the Canon S3 does, Thanx!!

Looks like, according to the user's manual, no!
It appears that you'll have to buy some ancillary
software that can edit QT files. (If you happen to
go ahead & do that, try to get an application that also
includes conversion of QT to mpeg ... eventually you'll
see why.)

I know that my Sony F717 can in-camera edit movies, but its native format
is mpeg.

That´s a shame ¨cause the Fz7 has IMO better image quality than Canon S3 but movie mode is also important to me and transfering and editing all in my PC is a bit too complicated if i record long movies, Thanx anyway

the S3 has probably the best movie mode around
but it chews memory fast
like 2mb per sec !

From the samples i´ve seen the Fz7 can take very good qualitymovies tooand though a bit less than S3 they need a lot of memory too but unfortunately they don´t seem to have at least simple incamera movie edition...
