some geese flew by on their way somewhere else... they were a good 100 yards away, and i had unfortunately left my TCON-14B at home, so had to settle for the "mere" 12x zoom on my FZ20...

Well, I think they came out very nicely. Actually they look like they would if you didn't have the camera and a zoom or telephoto lens. In fact better than without the zoom. Nice job. Always a pleasure to view your photos.

Excellent. I think the mere zoom was zoom enough. ;o)

Everytime I see your squirrel avatar I chuckle...that is such a cute picture. )

thanks, Beth. i got that pic of the squirrel in my back yard last spring. he was carrying a peanut (Lord knows where he got it!) and stopped when i opened the back door... i think he wondered what i was going to do,'cuzhe just sat up and looked at me for a moment - just long enough to take a couple of pics with my FZ20- and then he scampered off.
