I can't find a 6t for my brother-in-law so. has anyone tried these:

Sony
VCL-M3358 58mm it is a +3.3 $57.00

Canon 250 D it is a +4 $72.00

Also, is the DCR 250 a clip-on as it appears to be in the photos at B&H?

B&H has the DCR 150 & 250 at $100.00 for both.

Thanks for any info.

I don't know about the Sony but the Canon 250d is quality. I use the Raynox 150/250 and have been very pleased with them. I think for the price they are a good investment. ) Perhaps start with those or just start with the Raynox 150. ?

Ps...there is a 5T/6T set up for bids on Ebay but imagine those will go pretty high $$. You never know though. I provided a link in another thread on the Nikon macros.

Nikon 4t at amazon for $25. Same lens with 52mm threads vs 62mm for the 6t.

Bugeyedigital.com has the dcr150 and 250 for ~$40 each. Both have the same snap on adapter. Get them that way and you'll not only save money, you'll get two adapters.

Yes.
yes, but with the caveat that you need not only the step-down ring, but you have to have an adapter (Phayee, Pemaraal, or Raynox) on your FZ10/20 for the step-down ring to attach to. Iif you don't have the adapter, you can get one for about $25. the Phayee is 62mm threads, the Pemaraal can be had with 62mm, 58mm, or 55mm threads depending on which model you order. i'm not sure about the Raynox, but i think it's 58 or 62mm...

Thanks for the information everyone. I think I might get the 4t for my brother-in-law as I have the 6t and he likes it. I also think I may try the Raynox myself for a little more magnification.

Thanks again.
