Bridgeville California. Not much left except the bridge and a few old houses. It does have the distinction of being the first town ever sold on Ebay.

Thanks Don and if I had owned it I never would have sold it.

I absolutely love #1 scene, but #2 is far from being in second place. Beautiful scenes, and I don't think I would have sold either, if I could afford to eat otherwise.:-)

So, what is it now ? It was certainly a pretty place from the shots. Was it incorporated or such or sold to the nature concervacy or that type sale ?

Thanks for the comments everyone. It really was a great place to grow up as I spent a lot of time fishing, swimming and just playing at the river.
Kenn, it has sold 4 times and the third sale was when it went on Ebay and was in the news even in Europe. The last sale happened just a couple of months ago and I think the price was 1.5 million dollars. Not much really when you consider the price of many homes here in California. The value now is mostly in the land with just a few old (rundown) houses. The current owner has plans to restore the town and make a tourist destination. I will be surprised if that ever happens.

What a lovely place! How could one have the heart to sell it? I hope the new owner doesn't spoil the place in the name of restoration and build commercial complexes there.
