I hadn't really tried the 6t on the FZ50 so I shot a few close-ups this afternoon. These were hand held shots and no flash. I was going to say hand held, in a hammock, siting on a unicycle but then you might not have believed me. Anyway, I was satisfied with them.

In #2 the bee seems to come off of the screen. great colors too for both.

Please, which PP for these two (cropping factor, NR, Sharpen...) ?

Narmer

PS at closer inspections, jpg compression artifacts emerge in #1 and espec. in the darker parts of the lower and right green portions of # 2. You should have compressed them less (file size around 100-120 Kb, not half that as in your images) which also makes fine detail sharper.
This might also be the case for the hummers' pictures in the other thread.

Thanks Francisco, I will try and remember about the compression. For these shots I only cropped and sharpened. On the second one I did use a little hue and saturation adjustment. I was shooting in the 8mp EZ setting but I don't know if that would make any difference in the pictures.

I knew I didn't know how to look at digital pictures. I'm looking at the two lower green areas in photo #2 as noted aboveand I don't see what it is I'm looking for. Of course it was said on closer inspection. I'mbeing disagreeable but in a benign, ignorant way.

Shots are great. I'm glad the 6t is working so well on the camera.

I'm with Andrew. I can't see what narmer is referring to. Could be my monitor but I don't think so.

They are very good, and I like the fact that you only used available light. What's the factor on the 6t, is it +6?

You're making me change my mind about the FZ50, although... could you post an unedited, 100% crop of both images? Just out of curiosity.

Thanks a lot.
