went back up to Mt. Shuksan today, and just for grins, i threw my little LC-43 into the car along with my FZ20 and 30D. when i got home, i was frankly a bit surprised... that little 4Mp pocket camera did pretty darn well! the colors aren't as vibrant, and there's not as much contrast, but otherwise, very acceptable images!

first two shots are from the LC-43...

and here's two from the FZ20...

Rocky, you do have some of the most beautiful scenery and really know the art of composition. As always it is a pleasure to view your splendid work.

thanks, everyone, for the kind comments... it always helps to have a great subject! :G

i was quite surprised at how well the little LC43 did... the images weren't quite as well saturated, nor as sharp, but for a little pocket camera, it did very well indeed, and either of those shots would make a lovely 8x10. i've had it for almost 3 years now, and hadn't used it more than a handful of times once i got my FZ20, so i lent it to a friend last spring, and only just got it back a few days ago. now that i see what it can do (again), i think it will live in my glove box asmy "just in case" camera, so i will always have something with me... :G
