Well, I'm not totally thrilled with this photo, but I see some potential to the camera when I figure out how to use it.

Got several photos, but all the halfway decent ones are about the same as this one. A few different 'artsy' ones that I kind of like, but they are not really good enough on a technical basis to waste Steve's bandwidth on.

Sorry about the compression artifacts. I usually can do better, but this is the first time I've tried to reduce that many pixels that far.

I like it, specially the blue sky. Did you apply any PP or filters during shooting? What time it was approximately when you took the pic?

Nice shot, my old eyes don't pick out the flaws you mentioned.

Yes, circular polarizer. Not a lot of 'photoshop' (some) , but I did manipulate the RAW to best effect with Silkypix.
(which I do not really like..... You should see what I can do with Nikon Capture... Man, I'd spend good money to have Capture work with the Lumix.)

The big rock outcrop is to the northeast of my position.... 6:01 PM local time, according to EXIF information. Just minutes before sunset, at about 10,000 ft elevation, a 12,000 peak just west of me.

This photo was shot to the northwest from almost exactly the same spot, but to the northwest about 10 minutes later; Got dark really quick:
