What's that effect in what appears to be the fungi's edge? It looks psychedelic... some sort of "fungi effect". Very good.

Thanks! I did a bit of post-processing in PS and just swirled here and there with the smudge tool.

Thanks. Prior to seeking to venture into photography most of my creativity is rather abstract in nature. I will likely integrate the two as I go along. I think some are less inclined towards the abstract but sometimes I like to see something as a composition and not so much as a "thing". )

Nice job beth. I took one on the side of a pecan tree the other day. It is old and rather big, haven't had time yet to process. Hope to do so soon. It was in low light. Hope it even came out good.
