I found this character today and I think it is a Northern Flicker Woodpecker. I really need to know so I can put it in the right category on my web site.

I bought a book and from what I can tell my GUESS could be right.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Looks like Northern Flicker in my book, also. Known as Red-shafted male.

Donna, thanks for looking and commenting.

I don't know if it will work on a FZ7 or not but I really like my Nikon TCE17.

Very gooood news that he is a woodpecker. Now my friend WOODY will have company. Woody is the only kind of woodpecker that I have until today.

Jerry, thanks for your time and the information.
