yes, that's the Space Needle from the 1962 world's fair. even after 44 years, it still looks ahead of its time...people still flock to it for the view from the restaurant on top, and they shoot fireworks from itevery New Year's eve... it's as close to "the" defining Seattle icon as there is.

A great win and a great shot. That is such a pretty skyline. I left on a cruise ship out of Seattle last year and I could not stop taking shots of the city. I could not see the mountain like in your shot.

thanks, Jim (and everyone else!) for the kind words. as a matter of fact, i had a 20x30 poster made, andit will soon be professionally framed and up for sale in a local frame shop/gallery!it's amazing how cool a shot like this looks when printed that large...
