Down the street from my house at the edge of the swamp this guy is moving in for the winter from the looks of it. Perhaps the chance for some family shots are in the near future.

Nice shots Kenn. If you will use spot metering and focus, when shootingbirds and other smaller prey, I think you will be happier with the results............Don

Thanks so much for the comments. As a follow up I went back by yesterday in the afternoon and took a shot of the tree and waited a bit to see if the woodpecker showed up but did not see him at the time. When I downloaded the shoots from the day I found this one in there and thought I would post it.
