Suggestions & Criticism wanted (Please)

We are getting close to thinking our new web site is ready to start working on the search engines. I would appreciate any ideas, criticism or suggestions any of you might have. Our idea is to help people understand different wildlife and share our ideas on how to achieve stalking wildlife photos. Each month a 24 page interactive e-zine will be available. This is our first issue so it is FREE. Are we experts??? NO we are not and we realize that but we also understand that because of a lot of trial and error some of what we have learned might help other people.

We also think our story segment will be fun for people. Sometimes we get a photo and somtimes we don't but both end up being a fun day. Remember if you are outdoors it is a fun day and if you do get a photo it is a bonus. The first story is about trying to herd a baby elk away from the highway and back to his or her mom.

I am sure we are going to find numerous bugs and we will fix them as we find them. At this time we would appreciate any information you all would share with us.

Thanks

I had a look around and it looks really professional to me Roger. I would say a job well done. As you know there will always be some bugs but there are on every site and they always need work. Looks like you are going to be busy.

Congratulations on the launch.

tcook thanks for the kind words and if you come up with any ideas please let me know. I hope you are right and are wrong about being busy. I am pretty well booked until the end of December so I hope it gets going after then.

Evening Jerry thanks for the kind words but the truth be Arthurine is the expert all I do is try and get some photos of animals and tell her stories about the ones I missed. Not only is she smart but she and her husband are a lot of fun. They have gone out with me numerous times and neither one ever forget anything it doesn't matter what you show them they remember. Lucky me I got the easy job. Remember if you come up with any ideas let me know.

That is an excellent site and so are the fox pictures. I may be short on ideas but certainly appreciate your art

Site (first look) looks great, only 1 (very small)remark your homepage in ie7 doesn't give a green border on the images that are linked (default blue one)
your stylesheet has
a:link { color:#36AD1F; }
a:visited { color:#36AD1F; }
a:hover { color:#000000; }
that also handles the border color in firefox (gecko... bla bla based browsers)

only ie7 doesn't play, a bit messing around in the css gives me this

<style type="text/css">
<!--
a:link { color:#36AD1F; }
a:visited { color:#36AD1F; }
a:hover { color:#000000; }

.imgborder img { border-color:#36AD1F }
.imgborder:hover img{ border: 2px solid #000000;}
.imgborder:hover{ color: #36AD1F; /* Dummy definition to overcome IE bug */}
-->
</style>
</head>

<body>
<a class="imgborder" href="test"><img src="theimage" alt="test" /></a>
</body>

all in all a great site

Ronny
