Hello all. New here and have a new FZ7. Seems this is a very helpful web site & forum so I'm jumping in head first for some advice.

I've never used a polarizer filter before but hear that it makes the sky deep blue and does wonders for water shots, soI think this would be a good addition to my new toy. Confused though on if I need to purchase a linear polarizer or a circular polarizer for the FZ7? Also if there is a brand preference when buying these? Is ProMaster a good buy for this (I can but that down the street) or should I look elswere?

Any advice on this accessory purchase would be welcomed.

Thanks.

A cheap linear polarizer should be enough for our FZs.
Only any kind of mirror in the optical path forces us to take circular polarizers.
But if you want to use this filter with a dSLR lateron. please take the circular type.

Brand ?? Well I got the HOYA circular polarizer, as well as other HOYAfilters. Great quality metal and glass. I keep the UV filter on all the time as a lens protector.
