I am planning on buying a FZ 50 along with a 55mm uv filter.

Could someone please tell me if the lens cap that is supplied with the FZ 50 will work with the UV filter?

Or do I need to purchased another one.

Thanks

As long as the filter has treads on both sides.......almost all of them do have threads....but there are a couple that are advertised as ultra slim that do not.

I have the HOYA UV filter on my FZ30, and the cap fits butnotas well as it should. It won't come off or anything like that, but it will notclose as tight as without the UV filter.

But what the heck, I rather blow some dust offfrom my UV filter before shooting than scratching my superbLeica Lens !!

I just received a Hoya Ultra Slim UV and Polorizer lens for mine and the cap works on both. Like jotajota said though, not a real good fit but they stay on.
