The weather this week has been very warm, lots of insects out so I took advantage of it shooting macros all most every day.
Here is a small sample, many more shots on my website...
http://www.bugmacros.com/

All shots were taken with an FZ30 and Raynox DCR-250 close up lens.
For detailed info visit this link...

Here's a Long Snout Butterfly...

Here's a shot of a fly holding a small fly...

Hoverflies were pretty active...

Here is a close up of a hoverfly licking pollen...

Another hoverfly with its tongue out...

A ladybug...

A Jumping Spider...

I scared the spider and it went under the flower pedal in this shot...

Thanks for viewing.

Hi Bob,

Great shots as expected from you! You know I just got the 250...may I ask: do you shoot in macro or manual mode, full zoom? and how do you get so much DOF? Thanks,

Donna

Excellent macros, you really get up close and personal with that lens. In fact a almost little to personal in one shot:-):-):-)

Hi Donna,

I shoot in manual focus mode and move the camera back and forth to focus. I vary the zoom magnification usually between 8x and 12x. On a large bug I will go as low as 3x but lower than that will cause vignetting.

I appreciate your comments.

Have fun with your new 250!

Bob
