I picked up the '30 on ebay for a pretty good price, and have been out shooting with it a few times. Darn weather been keeping me at home lately. I've been shooting mostly RAW. Like the results. Noise is no big deal, and I've been shooting lots of shots at ISO 200. Most of the noise I've observed when shooting RAW is luminance, and not chroma, which is a good thing, as I find it's much easier to deal with if needed. Here's a few shots from my first couple of times out. The light has been BAD to say the least. If you read the exif, you'll know what I mean. Using a monopod most of the time.

This was shot at ISO 200. No NR was applied. There's some grain visible in the sky, but I've never been averse to some grain. Reminds me of film.

2 Oyster Catcher. This one I ran through Picture Cooler, as it is heavily cropped, and the luminance noise was pretty noticeable. Came out ok.
