Very interesting series! I love machinery, so I enjoyed the photos a lot. It's years since I saw cane being harvested - in those days done by hand with machetes. It's conceivable that, before long, the machines will run on biofuel made from sugar cane, soya or corn (hopefully sooner, rather than later). Many thanks.

Thanks WindRowe for viewing and commenting. I like to watch the machines at work and marvel at the speed and efficiency of these beasts. I too, remember the days when the cane was cut with machetes and cane knives, but then field labor was easier to get. Now, there are too many government free loader programs, but that is another story.:G
