It looked like boiling water, but I thought it was too cold out there to make somebody "homesick".

I have tried crossed polarizers but was not satisfied with the results. One reason is that these filters reduce the reflections. The density had an uneven distribution and the colours were strange and could not be repaired, but there were some nice B&W shots.
This specific filter is too dense for my camera (max. 8 seconds, many thanks to panasonic for this stupid limitation!), I hope to try different filters (and cameras?) soon.
