Just a couple of pics from the first day of summer down here (I know some places use the solstice, we use the first of the month).

I had a bit of a wander down by the river at lunch time.

Saw a little black cormorant


And a little pied cormorant


who didn't like to share


Some people on and by the river




and the sun breaking through the plane trees on St Kilda Road


Hope you enjoyed. Nothing special, just wanted to bring a little warmth to those approaching winter.

Yes it is amusing. The cormorant just did not want to share, I got several shots of which the posted is my favourite. Here is another

Fight Fight Fight :-) great pose on the birds, the gull doesnt even look bothered. You can even see the colour in the eyes in the 1st picture, I rarley get them birds eyes to shine like that, and I snap them all the time as they are around our rivers a lot.
