Shari - I have no reservations whatsoever about having purchased the fx01. I've gotten alot of enjoyment out of it and some very decent photos, lowlight and daylight. I've recommended it to a number of relatives and friends andforum folks. I havn't heard any negative comments. The size and 28mm lens make it quite unique. The f20/30 has a 36mm lens. The s8 is 35mm (38mm?). I wouldn't pay an extra $160 for the fx50. I think I would prefer the fx01 for its smaller size, anyway. The fx01 is a wonderful, very well made camera. You can tell Santa I said so. :-)
