Very nice shots, Ted. Do you have the goldfinch year round. We normally get them in Feb. , Mar. on the return flight to more northern habitat. At this time, they have not returned to their normal color, for which they are named.

Thanks again everyone for looking and the nice comments.
Don, they were all taken in an apple tree in my backyard. I have some feeders hung on the tree so it attracts a lot of birds.
Jerry, they are here most of the year and will start changing into their bright color in the spring. My apple tree sometimes looks like it is full of bright yellow gumdrops in the summer. I sometimes have as many as 30-40 (can't get an accurate count as they move all the time) of them in the yard at one time.

Very beautiful pictures, Ted. The sunlight and shadow playing on the birds gives an excellent depth and effect, too. Great job, keep posting more.
