At least that is the name of it, but I never did see an eagle on it. It is a couple of miles from the town where I grew up and I loved hiking up to it and seeing the view from the top. It was very easy to get to the top from the backside of the rock. Quite a bit of the rock has crumbled and slid down since I was last there (many years ago) and covered many of the fir trees that grew below it.

A nice shot indeed. Ted, looks like carvings on the face, guess it just from deterioation. Assuming that the back side is a gentle slope, I would try it, just for the view.

P.S. Of, course I would have to pack a lunch, and maybe an evening meal. :G

Thanks everyone for looking and the nice comments. After taking this picture I am having a strong urge to find a way to go back up to the rock.
