Went to the park today to let kids cycle...since the weather seems ok today, decided to go there last minute. Funny thing, manage to see Jumping Spiders today only! Not too sure of the ID though.

The one with the mosquito in the mouth was taken in those shelters there....plenty of them there. This fella was on the wall, so was taken looking upwards.

The one on the tree was quite large....this pic was taken almost zoomed out at x4 or x5. Love the patterns and its so well camoflauged! Tried to take the face, but it ran off and I never found it!

The others with colourful background were taken at the playground.

Settings:
Fz10+Raynox 250, F8 various speeds, ISO 50, 2 diffused flash

#1: Mosquito killer

#2:Closer view of predator

#3: Closer view of prey

#4: Tree JS

#5: Playground JS

#6: The pose

#7: Other view

Happy New Year, Tan. Who else can present JS,or any other insect for that matter,in such clarity and grandeur?

Wonderful shots of my favorite spider. I had one here in the studio but it was moving way too fast and wasn't interested in posing. :G I always love your photos.

Super shots as usual, I am surprised you even saw #4 it was so well camouflaged.
