Hi All

I've not been taking many pics lately as the weather here in the UK has been appauling last month or so. When I do, its for a very short time normally after work or a quick 30 min trip to Epping Forest. So I just wanted to share with you all a few shots from the Oly E1 + 14-54ZD taken handheld, full manual mode in the last 2-3 weeks :

1. Sunset over Epping Forest

2. All the fun of the fair (ISO 400, f4.0 @1/13s):

3. Fantasy (ISO400, F7, 1/80s)-

4. Kimberly Estate (ISO400, f3.5, 1/6s)

5. Green Bark - Epping Forest. ISO100, f5.6 @1/125

6. Alaskan Malamute (ISO 400, f3.6 @1/60s)

Cheers

Harj

Very nice series Harjt! Number 1 and 3 are my favorites but I also know how hard it is to catch the lights and movement of the fair. Did you use a star filter on #1? It's really special to my eyes. They are all nice and I enjoyed seeing them. I think winter puts us all in a funk for a while, until we get tired of not shooting and really start to look for something different to shoot.

Hi Don and Donna

Thanks for the compliments on the shots. Being restricted to just a 3x optical zoom and a 5MP sensor has meant that I'm having to work on my composition, and try and nail it first time. I've managed to work without IS and have even managed to get 1/3s handheld shot and can now consistently take sharp pics from 1/13 - 1/6s. I think the E1's ergonomics, weight and the fact that the 14-54 is a pretty decent lens really help.

So far the only filter I have is a Hoya UV Pro1- I think I was just really lucky with that shot and the way it came out.

Cheers

Harj

Great series Harjt. Agree with the others on #1 and #3. Fantastic job. I also like the closeup of the green bark in Epping forest.
