It was a foggy day and despite the gull being stationary, the long focal length plus IS jst fell short of it being as sharp as I would like. A little solarization, posterization and some color tweaking gives you a electric gull (shades of Filmore East flash back).

Years ago there was a photo lab in West Palmbeach, FL. that came up with a system that would scan your slide with a lazer which would then create a 4"x5" internegatice which would reneder extreme sharp prints. For an additional charge they would alter the colors to creat special effects in the 4"x5" internegative.

They would have one price for the print and a additional charge for the internegative and if you wanted the internegatice there was a additional charge.

My girl friend had ordered 30"x40" color prints from 35mm slides that almost grainless.

that looks neat and I like the effect of #2. Yes, digital imaging is fun!!!
