I recently purchased an FZ7 and the local gulls are being helpful subjects while I check out the many setting combinations. I thought this one turned out well. I had a Canon camera in mind but after looking at the cameras I decided the FZ7 was the one for me.

That is a good one. It is quite difficult to get birds in flight with a non SLR

Well, so far I haven't. I am learning it's low light limits and how to do the best I can under various conditions. The shot below, for instance; I learned that it is extemely hard to take a picture of a bird flying overhead when the camera has a fully extended monopod attached to it.

All cameras have limitations, but I've had more fun with my FZ7 these past few months than any other camera I've ever owned and that includes a couple of extremely good film SLRs.

Your gull in flight is very good indeed. Hope to see more of your pics soon.
