Thanks Rafael. I checked out the tree site and it was very interesting. I noticed the Zebra wood tree trunk. Iused that on a piece of custom furniture I built for a customer several years back. I thought it came fron Africa.Maybe the same tree grows there.

Don,

That zebra pattern is the rain runing down the tree, so is certainly different from the timber you described. It is normally not like that. About half of that series is labelled "rainy day gums" and was taken on the first day of solid rain for about 6 months. The trunks of smooth trunked gum trees just changes so much in those conditions I couldn't help myself, I fired off about 90 photos.

That zebra timber you described sound interesting.

WOW, I have been getting caught up on the photos for the past few days and so I have been starting with your later postings and I am so impressed by your photos...and the countryside is amazing and so beautiful!!! thanks so much for sharing and definetely a place worth seeing!! and I luv the kangaroo...
