That's an amazing series. How did you focus on your own eye?

Don
Well thats the thing its hard, putting it milding its almost imposible.

The way I am doing it at the moment isnt easy.

1st I focus the camera on something in manual mode, then find that distance and attach a pen to the camera (with elastic bands) so it sticks out to the same distance, then the focus point should be "around" the length of that pen, then I stuck up a Mirror behind the camera to see if my eye was in the cameras little screen by using the pen as a basic marker. Then I started to take pics, over and over again :| until I nearly went blind as firing a flash into your open eye from a few inches away isnt great

Still just kept on moving the camea about as much as I could handle and while a lot are worthless and totally out of focus, some are perfectly in focus, its very hit and miss so far. I need a better way to do it

I cannot get the exact shots I want yet, as have one hand on the camera pressing the shutter button to take pics, and sometimes the other hand on the mirror angling it so I can see whats goin on. But I would like to get my eye more open with my fingers, but its a bit to hard doing that. Will keep experimenting as I am sure it will work better.

Hey that eye porn image is fast becoming my most viewed image on Flickr, even if it is a bit disturbing. I guess people wonder what the hell it is

Anywa added a 5th Picture I just took, this time NOT full zoom, I guess I was obsessed with 100% zoom and forgot its not what its all about.Played with it a bit to get rid of colour, I now look like the HULK :O
