This church is located on the Mississippi Road about 8 miles from my home.

#2 Today, mass is held here once a year, and draws a very large crowd.

#3 The church was built in the1903 by an Italian, whoseson was very ill. He promised God that he would build a church if hisson recovered. Later, his sondid recover, and this is the church he built, all he could afford at the time.

That's neat Jerry, I am not sure but somewhere I saw a picture of one that might come close to it. I don't think it was here in the US though.

Ted, I have heard that also, and there is debate as to which is really the smallest, or oldest small church.

Wow. Must be for the God of small things. I love that it is kept so well. Your first shot gives us a really good appreciation of the place. I've never seen anything even approaching this. I have seen small roadside places in Europe but they are not churches just places of special religious significance where people come and pray.
