Last night I ordered a new FZ50. This will be my second digital. Now my son can use the Sony F707 (he'll be super excited...he loves that camera).

While I have concerns about noise, I've grown used to running images through Neat Image as needed.

Thanks to all those here who unknowingly helped me make the decision to take the plunge.

I look forward to sharing my education with the new toy...er...uh...serious photography tool.

Welcome to the club, good choice.I'm sure you'll enjoy your new toy (photography tool). Start posting.

I have the FZ30 and I alsowas concerned about the noise. I find it to be a non issue. The noise is not as bad andnot that much more from any digital cameraas some make it to be.

You will enjoy it and I still am learning with my FZ 30and as someone posted here, use NEAT image if you need it for the odd shot that may have too much noise. It is free and works great.

Welcome to the Club. You've made a good choice. It's a toy and a tool - FZs are capable of providing adequate fun for the beginner/amateur and also rising up to any challenge for the serious photographer. We look forward to seeing your photos.

Yes. The new kind. Very scary imho. BSG has to be one of the best dramas on TV right now (even if you aren't into sci-fi).

Hmm....if I drop the FZ50 to 3 megapixels, I might be able to capture a cylon raider overhead with the EZ. :G

I agree though it's on Sundays now instead of Fridays which is throwing my groove off.

If you go 3 meg EZ and add the TCON17 you may even be able to see the raiders gender..LOL!
