Was driving along the Great River Road toward Baton Rouge. Spied this fellow on the side of the road.

Preparing to part company. By now I think it is a Red-Tailed Hawk. Appreciate any positive identification.

Nice gerry!!! We have hawks around here too and I never seem to have my camera when I manage to be around them or they are just flying about....you managed to get pretty close to this guy!!!

Thats a impressive looking Hawk. Its a little sad to see the Hawk with the trash on the ground though.There isa pair of Hawks here where I live and have been lucky enough to get some nice pics of them.
