Wild Turkey Wings & Coffee

Pentax K10D w/ Bigma and Tamron 24 -135

I spotted some turkeys on a ridge across a field from where I had stopped. I poured a cup of coffee to drink while I tried to come up with a plan on how to get closer. All of a sudden she shows up running to join the rest of the flock.

Not the best photos but as a series It made me laugh. This is one reason I like burst mode.

Damn I should of brought a ladder

Mom's advice was if you have to use your wings. OK its worth a try.

Well almost, I need to flap them twice.

Next year I am going to buy snow shoes & a ladder

On the way to meet up with friends.

Now I can finish my cup of coffee

You could be right. That may be why he was in such a hurry to get over the snow drift.

Thanks for commenting and for looking.

Nice series, Roger. I bet that would also make a great turkey neck gumbo.

I never had turkey neck gumbo but it sounds like something that would be good.
