Not hard at all to tell your mother went through the depression era. My mother and mother even washed out the used ziplock bags, etc. My mother had several tins of buttons, old zippers, and left over material she used to make quilts. When I was a kid, we would have so many quilts on the bed at night, we had to get out of bed, just to turn over.
