Well, this winter has been a bust for photos for me. No birds at the feeders, and it's been too cold to do anything (if finally got above zero this past weekend, though!). We went out icefishing with some friends on Saturday, so I got to take a few quick shots before my hands froze. It was about 5 degrees out, and even with 5 layers of tops and 3 layers of bottoms on, it was still way too cold.

Nice photos, confirms what I have always said, the prettiest ice and snow I ever saw was on a postcard or somebody else's photos.:G

Thanks for checking it out, guys! D.Ann - you are SO right ! I always liked the colder weather better than hot/humid weather, but now I'm wishing for just one day of summer. I'm sure when I'm 8 months pregnant in June I'll be wishing for this kind of weather.

Annie57 - The first fish is a northern pike, and the second is a large mouth bass (which we've NEVER caught during the winter before). My northern was actually the smallest of all the ones we got. I lost one big one because it was too big to get through the hole!

Take care! Melissa (www.mkklein.smugmug.com)

Looks like a fun day. I love to fish, but it has to be warm enough to do it without layers.

Great photos (brrrr) and nice fish.
But when I'm fishing the only thing cold is the beer
