A bunch of images taken fairly recently, been around the rivers a bit and tried a lot of shots and its hard to get them looking like you want them to, its a suprise when you get home and see the images on your PC screen :-)

Anyway click the images for info on what you are seing and where etc.. and once on that page click All Sizes for the BIG versions if you need to see them as these are rather small, dont want to flood the page withmassive pics as some may have slow conections still.

Aim For The Ducks

Silence

Ying Yang River

Spoil My Shot You Little Gul Cropped Gul Out

Two Colour Rowers

Floating In Solitude

Thats your lot for now

Thanks for looking J.P.

Nice sequence. Your river looks warmer then mine.

Very nice, the second and next to last are my favorites. I like the ducks getting out of the way of the boat too.

"Spoil My Shot You Little Gul Cropped Gul Out"

That is not a Gull. It is a Cormorant. They swim under water looking for food and when the come up they must sit and wait for their feathers to dry (not water repelent like ducks). They often sit with their wings spread to dry (when they have their wings spead to dry they look like a German Eagle looks in print).

Nice shots, the cormorant one is especially nice!

I think she is refering to a gull that was in the picture that she has cropped out, I dont think she could confuse a gull with anything other than a gull. :-)

Yes there was an Ugly little Gull in that Cormorant picture, so I cropped the little sucker out  made the picture a lot better.

Very nice series. Ilove "spoil my shot" and "two colour rowers"! Nicely composed, beautiful shadows and afterglow!

Great job composing these shots, you use the rule of thirds well. I like the ducks getting out of the way of the "beast with eight wings".
