After seeing pictures of green oaks, a bayou that is not frozen, African beaches, Floriday touristy stuff: all good. So I thought I should share a bit of around here. A little help from a few gulls; they were cold also.

Aaaaagh, Steve. Beautiful scenes. Thought I saw that gull before. But just love to view yours and the others photos of the frigid north. You guys just have the most beautiful snow and ice, especially in your photos, where I love to view them. I just don't relish being in the midst of it. These bones would freeze up, and old Arthur is already causing enough pain.:-) :G

Thanks for sharing. I really do love to see what you see.

Nice series of shots. That third one is great, it looks like it does not want to put its foot down on the cold ground.

Maybe saw the gull if I took it's picture before, but that shot was taken today so the picture is new. How it goes is most of the gulls spend as much time as possible on one leg in this weather. You want to see two legged ones, check here in the spring. I will find one. I just know I will. (Unless of course their legs freeze off.)

And, You do not love to see what I see near as much as I would love to see what you see. In person. I am getting bored with winter.

Hi!

Nice to see some real winter for a change. Global warming seems to have reached Germany by now-we wil have about 17 Degrees celsius-in mid february (normally the coldest time is between mid january and end of february here).
No snow(only one snowstorm, and all was gone after two days) and all the flowers have petals and nature looks like it would normally do two months later in the year. As I liver in Karlsruhe (which is built on a dryed out /exhausted(which is right?) bayou of the rhine, we probably will have malaria and swamp back real soon :-{ )
But for now, everything looks like spring here.

Cheers,
RealMash
