using an old stump. I would like the have the old stump in my backyard, my birds would probably love it.

That is a very nice beach. Ours are just these flat things. Occasionally an old board washes up for driftwood, but nothing photogenic.

Ted, some neat shots through the old stump. It looks well worn, which tells me it has been washed by the sea countless times.

Thanks everyone for looking and the kind comments. It sure is fun to find something like that old stump and us it as a prop for shots.

Annie, these shots were taken near a small town called Trinidad. Trinidad is located in Northern California about 70 miles south of the Oregon border. It is a beautiful little town with a small natural harbor just a short distance from where I took the shots.

Terrififc deep rich colour in these captures. You used the stump beautifully to show us the beach. really interesting study in composition. Liked all of them, but the last was my favourite.
