I went to Finland for a few days last week and had my camera with me as I thought I could do some nice pictures of snow and ice. Alas with tempretature hitting -23 Celsius I just did not have the courage to go out! I was really dissappointed as one does not get a chance to take pictures at such a nice setting with so much snow etc often (unless you live there of course!)

I only managed some up to 12x zoom etc from a balcony staying outside for a few minutes only. I also chickened out and used the easy setting but thankfully the pics are sort of ok....if not what I had planned originally!
Next time must take enough clothes with me!!!

Very nice captures jussiuk, considering where they were taken from.

The first shot is stunning. Beutifully captured to show us the crisply the contrast in the scene.

I like the perspective in #1, from the balcony.

Thanks everyone for you encouraging comments. I am a bit out of practise with taking pictures. Somehow there just isn't enough time to go out and shoot.
I am going to Japan end of the month and hope to take lots and lots of photos there as I am there for two whole weeks.
Will post some then.

About the first picture here. I actually printed it on my Canon Pixma as an A4 print and must say that it does work very well on paper even if I blow my own trupet a bit there!

Thanks again everyone!
