The first time I looked at the first shot I wondered if a person way down at the end of the path would improve it. But now after a third look it is fine the way it is. Sunday morning and very quiet. In picture number 2, is that a sculpture with the eyes staring at me?

happy, thanks. I did actually have people in a couple of the takes of that scene, but I ended up liking this one. The solitude fitted the peaceful mood.

Yes the eyes looking at you are part of a sculpture. It is called Angel and is made up of ceramic pieces. Here are a couple of shots I took back in Spring (October) when I had just bought my polarizing filter.

first shot without polarizer...



then I put the polarizer on.
