As a follow up to yesterday's gull shot, I took a few more today. Well actually, I got well over a hundred of them. A brisk wind helped. I wanted a head on gull shot with the city as a background, but since the wind was coming from that direction the only one I posted with downtown background has a bunch of tails showing. I made a flickr set of some of them which you can see if you click this link. There is a goose and two ducks in there also I believe.

Here is one picture from the set.

One reason I took so many gull shots is I was not taking ice shots very often. Yesterday it looked so pretty, today it looked like what you see below or worse. you can click on it to see the large version; it is even dirtier looking.

And it is snowing again right now. Oh Joy!

Absolute beauty, pheasant. Great series. The accuracy and perfection of the BIFs is outstanding.

Which teleconvertor, and did you use an RDS.

Thanks for posting,

sandeep

Funny you should ask about an rds. When bayourebel asked if I used one the other day I thought he was joking about something like a military rapid deployment system. Then when sandeep asked also I thought to do a search and found out it appears to be a laser sighting system.

Thanks for looking and commenting.

Thanks all for commenting.

These two are not quite as focused but you cannot tell unless looking at the orignal size. I photoshopped out a bit of branch behind the wing of the right gull. I really want to get a super shot of one of those young ones in flight. I love their patterning. I have gotten some good ones, but not a great one yet.
