Hi Sven

The first shot is just wonderful - would have scared the crap out of me taking it but that is a cracking shot. Just goes to show how good the FZ's (all of them) can be !

Cheers

thanks Harj,

this spider is very small!

The only fear I had, was to touch the net and destroy the scenery.

My first (conventional) attempt was not half as good as the final result:

cheers Sven

WOW!

I somehow missed the first shot! Really an excellent shot that has that 'WOW' effect!

Thanks for sharing it again, else I would have missed that!

Hi Tan,

the spider shot was part of a longer thread with all the dew drops.
http://freenet-homepage.de/seemolf/morningDew.html

"Closeups in Nature" from John Shaw arrived today.
Francesco talked about this fantastic book.
John has taken similar shots, but I did not know this up to now.
I had to start dreaming (like narmer) when I read the book.

Sven, great shots. The spider and the moth ones are awesome.

thanks hiroshi,

Steve never liked my pictures, I gave up to send suggestions for POTD.

But here is another one from today 23.march.07 - in this case a real POTD:

My mushroom was chosen in the flowers and plants department:

Sven

glad to read you re immersed in John Shaw's great book.
I told you that yourfrontal dew+web shot looked like one on his book...

About the Wiki article it d be grat, but I really have no time (and already spend too much on photos) 'cause I m finishing University and some papers on Egypt.

PS

After some years I finally decided to take a web space of mine.
Unlimited webspace, domain name, and possible redirect, with mails and so on, costs 24 Euro x year. Very fast FTP.
I ll keep my digilander/alice trekking photos and Macrophotography.com where they are, but with time I ll do more indices for the Photos in the new webspace.
Always when I ve time to do that.

I am stunned but then again I have seen some POTD chosen and go "huh?"... Heh heh... :G

Well, definitely wonderful shots you have from the FZ5 and it really makes me reach further. Thanks.
