Hi everybody,

I'mback now, after a marathon battle with Best Buy over my computer. They finally gave me credit after 11 weeks of trying to fix it and me filing against them with the BBB so I'm back in bussiness. I've really missed all you guys and gals. I went to the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup this last weekend for the first time and went out with somelocals to see if I could get some shots. We just went acouple of miles out of town real quick and only found one but that was enough for these shots. In the first picture I was about 6 or 7 feet from this guyusing the 12X zoom. The people I went out with were keeping his attention on them so I could get that close. Hope you enjoy.

Don

I don't think I'd ever want to be that close to them, but really nice shots anyway. They're obviously able to merge into their surroundings quite easily.

Whew, seven feet, is too close for comfort. Bet he knew where you were and he looked ready if you got too close.

P.S. Welcome back and glad you got the computer problem solved.

Nice looking snake. He does indeed blend in. Good you have your computer back in operation. They are useful things.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Jerry, He could have gotten me if he had struck. He was just about 5' long butwas up on a large rock about even with my heightandwould probably have launched into the air off the rock.

well captured - and thanks for being brave enough! Like most people, am pretified of snakles my self -Luckily the UK only has one native poisonous snake, the adder, so I can tromp through the brush quite safely.

Wow, that was close!
I cropped a detail from your original shot.

So you stayed with Zoto, Don!
I had to leave, I don't like filenames like:

any longer.

A nice return, please stay with us!

cheers
