Here are some shots similar to, but I regret not the equal of, Raphael's from half a world away.
Hope you won't mind my taking the liberty, but I feel the comparison might lead to advice which will help me improve.

Robin,

This looks like a wonderful place. I am sure I would enjoy a morning there. I am rally hardly one for advice being an absolute beginner. What immediately struck me though was that I wanted to get closer in most of the shots, I wanted a better view of the produce or the stall or the person.

The first couple fine as a perspective shot to show what the place looks like but in each of the ones after that I was really wanting to you to use the zoom to get me in closer. Technically the shots look OK well exposed etc.
