The Royal Melbourne Zoo has a wonderful twilight concert program, where you spend some time at the zoo and then hunker down with a picnic to catch a musical performance.

Unfortunately we had some rain yesterday and the rainforest area lived up to its name.

The rain made the silverback leave for some shelter

and the meerkats were wanting it to stop too

Luckily it did not last

and in fact we got some more sun for the giraffes and red pandas

Finally the concert started

Some faces in the crowd

As the sun set

Joe finished his first set and we checked out some reptiles

before an even hotter second set

You certainly captured the flavor of what must have been a wonderful day at the zoo/concert.

Thanks Mark and Tinosa. Glad you enjoyed the photos, it was certainly a most enjoyable way for us to spend a Saturday evening.

A terrific set of photos. The tree silhouette is my favorite.

Very nice series Rafael, I like the silhouette tree, the lady above and the reptile.

Very nice shots as usual Rafael. I just might have nightmares about that snake.
