I like the shot...I have been trying for a while to capture the full moon but have had a problem with focusing...What was the exposure used and what was the metering mode set at?...I assume you focused manually.

Thanks for viewing and commenting. Here are the camera settings:

Manual exposure, Shutter speed1/60 sec., Aperture f 8.0, ISO 100, (use ISO 80, my picture is a bit overexposed, or, use 1 f-stop higher opening), spot metering, auto focus, tripod.

Thanks for your response Macnite...I have tried both auto and manual focus with my fz30 unsuccessfully...I have a uv filter on the lens...could this be my problem?
The focusing ring on the camera rotates freely without stopping at infinity and I cannot get used to that design.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Nice shooting Emmanuel, shooting the moon is fun isn't it. I find that shooting the full moon to be the hardest to do and still maintain good detail. For that reason I prefer to shoot something less then full as the shadow helps bring out more detail. I have found that shooting a full moon very early in the evening or morning (when it looks white rather then yellow) helps bring out the details.
